  I'm just here to talk about the service.
  
  I cannot remember the last time I ate at a soul food restaurant and was greeted by a smile. What made. this visit even more peculiar and weird is that I was smiled at the entire time I ate there. Not in a creepy, stalkish way. I was smiled at in a way that was welcoming hospitable and encouraging all at the same time. The food on tap here is normal soul food and I will go ahead and be honest and say that one of the take ways that I have is that in an effort to accommodate everyone it seems that pork has been omitted from the side dishes. The greens and they cabbage are seasoned with smoked turkey products. But that's okay. I came here to taste some smothered chicken and they delivered. It's REAL smothered chicken; deep-fried chicken smothered in gravy. I enjoyed every bit of my meal. Unfortunately I was not able to finish as the attached picture shows. The lunch here is an excellent value and I recommend it to anyone. but once again the main reason I recommend this restaurant is because they know how to make you feel.
  
  Other soul food restaurants please take notice.
  We don't need the attitude with our food.

  Great food, horrible and incompetent service. I asked for smothered chicken with gravy on the side, since it's to go and I don't want the chicken to get soggy. The lady started arguing with me that I want the regular fried chicken with a side of gravy.  She had already written down the sides, and all of a sudden she is out of two of the ones I asked for. The food here is fantastic, but until they get something close to half ass decent customer service. Everytime you call or go in, no smiles, rude attitudes and people with no clue. There's only one person in there that has any type of manners and customer service. Why have a job if your just going to damage the stores reputation? Won't be back ever, or atleast till I hear something has changed with the ignorant and rude service that nearly the whole staff has.

  Food was above average.
  
  Yams- divine! Just the right amount of sweet
  Mac and cheese -could be harder as far as texture as it was a bit slimy but the taste was good ol Mac and cheese.
  Cabbage- DELICIOUS!! ( we picked out the huge pieces of cut up turkey bacon)
  Greens- good.
  Meatloaf- comes with brown gravy, could have passed on the gravy but the loaf I liked. Good flavor and was seasoned
  Red snapper-
  Short ribs
  Cornbread REALLY GOOD
  
  The waitress we had bless her soul had a LEGIT attitude but after my dad tipped her she magically become the nicest lady on earth. Too bad it was the end of our meal but we thanked her anyway.
  
  This is a real " get your food to go" type of place. I've been before and service is always the same, lacking with attitudes.

  The food is good  but some of the employees  are so freaking rude I was standing in line to pay for my order this employee walked right in front of my as if she was going to step on my feet, then back again this time moving a chair that almost hit me no excuse me or sorry just rude as hell the one with the young hairstyle hair shaved on the side smhhhh

  Great food! This place is just like eating at home without all the labor. Their Ox Tails are to die for.
